Bishop is the tallest of the Nine Sisters (or Morros) on California’s Central Coast. This is a reasonable, though fairly demanding, hike, dominated by a narrow trail, desert, rocks, and sagebrush. It’s most notable for the giant boulder formations at the top: The trail ends at the base of these summit rocks, but a precarious scramble up provides the best views of San Luis Obispo and the other Sisters peaks.
